SYNOPSIS / Editorial Review about - Shower
'Shower' is the story of a father and his two sons. Abandonned by his eldest son who has set off to the Shenzen economic development region in search of his fortune, the father remains in Beijing raising his retarded son and clinging to his chosen profession as the master of a bath-house. Mistakenly believing that his father has passed away, the eldest son returns to Beijing to discover the magic of the bath-house and its importance to the surrounding community. Surrounded by the bath-house's long time customers and swallowed up by the culture of the 'shower' experience, the son is forced to face the responsibilities of family and deal with the problems of modernisation as they affect his personal existence.
